I’m looking for ways to build my newsletter list without spending too much money. The whole site at the moment is non-profit, the only income will come from the book, I’m not selling adspace etc. Does anyone have any ideas how to build my list?

If I add images to my blog from another site, does my blog, or the image hosting site, get credit for clicks?

By , February 18, 2013 4:01 pm
confused|blog web hosting A frequently-asked query:

I wanted to include some images that I have on another web site.

(They’re my images, no issue of copyright). But I wanted to know if it’s better having the images in an image directory on the SAME server as the blog, in terms of SEO. The images would only be linked to through my blog site, so the only way to find them even, would be by viewing them on my blog.

For example, if someone clicks on my image after searching, if the image is on another web site, does the click count for the image hosting site, or my own web site (which is the only site that has a link to the image, even though the image URL is different) ?

I’ve seen image search results from all search engines that show the image URL, as well as the URL of the web page featuring the image, which is sometimes different.

Both solutions work…I am solely concerned with SEO.

What professional web designers do when they need to get a free hosting service for their blogging sites?

By , February 17, 2013 3:27 pm

FAQ|blog web hosting Query on blog web hosting:

I’m looking for a site to post my ideas, content, media, originality, etc. and express myself. A place I can share my ideas and thoughts with others. I want the service to be free if possible. I also NEED it to not post ads on the site I make and make it easy for me to make it look original and clean. I prefer a website with a hands on template or layout editor because I am not too HTML/CSS/JavaScript savvy, but it is not a requirement. The biggest thing for me is NO ADS. What sites are out there that meet these standards?
